Frostveil Gym is the seventh Gym in Roria that the player will face off against. The Gym is situated in Frostveil City. Contrary to what players expect of Frostveil Gym specializing in Ice-type Pokémon, the Gym was actually focused in Dark-type Pokémon, causing players who trained a team of Pokémon specifically to counter Ice-type Pokémon to be at a possible disadvantage. Being the owner of this Gym, Zeek gives out Contrast Badge when defeated.

Design

The Frostveil Gym's design is vastly different compared to the other 6 Gyms. Everything inside the Gym is black and white. The interior, which is a 2D platformer, seems to be a lot bigger inside, with a vast white open space. All sprites and avatars are blackened. When fighting the trainers inside, all move animations and the Pokémon themselves are silhouettes against a stark white background. It is also one of the few places that players are allowed to jump in.

Gym Puzzle

Player must traverse through the maze of platforms in order to encounter the Gym Trainers and eventually the Gym Leader himself. Some platforms are initially invisible at first, requiring the player to push certain buttons to reveal them. Leader Zeek waits for player on the highest platform. Be warned that Zeek's last Pokémon is able to Mega Evolve.

Award

If the player emerges victorious over Leader Zeek, he awards the player with the Contrast Badge, which allows HM3 Surf to be used outside of battles. Furthermore, traded-in Pokémon will obey the player as long as they are at or below Lv. 90. He also gives the player TM97 Dark Pulse.
